Top After-Hours Movers (PLAB, CECO, IMOS, WSTL, NYX, HAFC)

The after-hours session tonight is not exactly littered with the largest and most liquid companies out there.  We are seeing moves in Photronics Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB), Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CECO), ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES LTD. (NASDAQ: IMOS), Westell Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL), NYSE Euronext, Inc. (NYSE: NYX), and Hanmi Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: HAFC).  We have shown the moves seen since the 4PM close with an explanation, the volume, the move, and added color on each if applicable.

Photronics Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB) is up after earnings of $0.09 EPS vs. $0.04 from Thomson Reuters; revenues rose 26% to $105.1M vs. $102.3M estimates;  Shares up almost 10% at $5.40 in ater-hours on 18K shares.

Career Education Corporation NASDAQ: CECO) is active among recent pro-regulation resignations in politics.  Shares closed down at $29.74 but the stock traded 150,000 shares since the close and the stock is up 7% at $31.83.

ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES LTD. (NASDAQ: IMOS) is soaring after the close after it returned to profits.  It also sees 17% TO 23% in sequential revenue growth.  Shares are up 10.9% at $1.83 in the after-hours after closing down 5.7% at $1.65 today.

Westell Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL) is trading higher after it reported a $2.7 million profit for the fourth quarter and posted a $10.3 million profit for its fiscal-2010 report.  Shares are up 7.15% at $1.50 versus a 52-week range of $0.42 to $1.88.

NYSE Euronext, Inc. (NYSE: NYX) is trading higher after the Big Board exchange is getting some SEC-sponsored proposals for a single-stock circuit breaker for 10% price moves within 5 minutes.  Shares are trading up over 4% at $29.99 on over 200,000 shares.

Hanmi Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: HAFC) is far from a household name. Shares closed at $2.31 but are up 11.7% at $2.58 on over 35,000 shares.
