Environmentalism Is the Preserve of Very Rich Countries

Whatever the truth about the theory of global warming, individuals aren’t born with a desire to protect the environment as much as their wealth affords them the time to care.  So if the goal is greater environmental performance in the U.S. and globally, the answer isn’t to burden our economy or other countries with regulations and laws.  Instead, the goal should be to free up the world as much as possible for growth because as countries grow wealthier, so does the individual desire within to preserve the environment.
