The executives were pessimistic about the economy and as a group only expect 2010 GDP to rise 2.7%.
Based on the figures, large companies plan to improve productivity by squeezing more out of their current workforces.
As a group, the organization represents companies with 12 million employees and about $6 trillion in annual revenue.
