Yahoo! Releases Most Searched Terms For 2011

Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) has released its annual list of most searched terms for 2011. Yahoo has been the target of takeover speculation since the board dismissed CEO Carol Bartz three months ago. Yahoo!’s board is evaluating offers from several private equity firms, and probably Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), Abibaba, and Yahoo! Japan.

The portal company’s revenues have flat lined the last three years, and profits have only be increased through costs cuts. Yahoo! continues to loss display advertising market share to Facebook
