If there is one common or recurring complaint about most smartphones it is that they are too thick.  That may change if Huawei has its way.   The Chinese communications equipment company is introducing two new super-thin Android smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. The 4.3-inch phones are the Ascend P1 and the Ascend P1 S and at 0.26-inches thick, beats the Droid Razor at 0.3-inches thick.

Huawei’s P1 will also feature a Cortex-A9 processor but is taller and a tad thicker at 0.3-inches. Both models are said to have Gorilla glass and metal casings.  The report from Fox News shows demonstrations as well as further in-depth reviews on the product.

Sony is also claiming the thinnest smartphone on the market in a CNBC interview out at the CES as well, so we’ll see.  Maybe they can fight over bragging rights: “Mine is smaller than yours.”
