The stock market shrugged the news off, perhaps because recent PMI, employment, and consumer sentiment have been strong recently. That may be an indication the economy will accelerate its growth in the current quarter.
The IMF recently downgraded its growth measurements of most major nations for 2012. The US was the exception.
The DJIA was up down .35% to 12,701. The Nasdaq was up .24% to 2,810. The most notable mover was Ford (NYSE: F) which sold off by 4% to $12.22. It reported disappointing earnings as labor and material costs rose and its sales performance in Asia lagged
