June 16, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 89 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) dropped another 3.3% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $33.51 after closing at $34.67 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $55.99. Share volume totaled more than 38 million, about 80% the daily average of around 21.5 million shares traded. The company’s stock was downgraded from Buy to Neutral at MKM Partners this morning. MKM’s price target on the stock is $39.

Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE: BTU) dropped about 7.5% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $2.21 after closing at $2.39 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.21. Share volume totaled more than 27 million shares, about 80% above the daily average of around 14.4 million. The coal company continues to sink.

Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) posted a new 52-week low on Tuesday. Shares dropped about 0.5% to a low of $98.81 from Monday’s closing price of $99.29. The stock’s 52-week high is $135.10. Volume totaled around 6.7 million shares, close to the stock’s the daily average. The company had no specific news today, and oil prices worked their way back to above $60 a barrel.

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE AA) dropped about 5.7% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $11.92 against a 52-week high of $17.75. The stock closed at $12.00 on Monday night. Volume totaled more than 10 million shares, about 50% of the daily average of around 23 million shares. The company had no specific news today, but there is also no near-term end to the global aluminum glut.
