Petroleo Brasileiro SA (NYSE: PBR) dropped about 7.4% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low at $4.02 after closing at $4.34 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $17.64. Share volume was about 10% below the daily average of around 32 million. The company is preparing to sell a stake in its natural gas distribution business, a first step on Petrobras’s plan to hive off nearly $58 billion worth of assets.
NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) dropped nearly 9% on Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $14.94 against a 52-week high of $33.92. The stock closed at $16.40 on Monday night. Volume is about triple the daily average of around 5.4 million shares traded. The company had no specific news again today, but nearly equaled its share price loss of yesterday.
Exelon Corp. (NYSE: EXC) posted a new 52-week low on Tuesday. Shares dropped about 6.6% to a low of $28.52 from Monday’s closing price of $30.52. The stock’s 52-week high is $38.93. Volume was about double the daily average of around 8.3 million. The company had no specific news today.
GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) dropped about 5.3% on Tuesday to set a new 52-week low of $30.55 after closing at $32.27 on Monday. The stock’s 52-week high is $98.47. Share volume is about 35% above the daily average of around 9 million. The company’s CEO responded to negative comments from Barron’s and shares climbed up more than 4% after posting the new low early this morning.
