Investors are watching MongoDB (NASDAQ:MDB | MDB Price Prediction) ahead of its Q1 FY2027 report expected tonight, May 28, at around 4:05 PM ET. The stock just popped 10.35% today to $324.95, but shares remain down 29.84% year to date.
A New CEO’s First Full-Year
Last quarter, MongoDB cleared a high bar. Revenue hit $695 million, up 27% year over year, and non-GAAP EPS landed at $1.65 versus $1.47 consensus. Atlas grew 29% and crossed a $2 billion run rate for the first time. Free cash flow jumped to $176.73 million from $22.91 million a year earlier, and management hit the rule of 40 for the first time.
CEO CJ Desai, in his first full year leading the company, also closed two landmark deals: a $90 million Atlas transaction with a large tech firm and a deal exceeding $100 million in Enterprise Advanced, the largest TCV contract in MongoDB history. RPO nearly doubled to $1.47 billion.

Atlas Consumption and AI Adoption Set the Tone
Tonight, I’ll be watching three things with MongoDB. First, Atlas consumption. Management guided Atlas growth to roughly 26% in Q1, but adjusted for a Q4 bundling quirk, underlying growth would have been closer to 30%. If consumption holds, this could be huge for the company.
Second, AI traction. CEO Desai said vector search customers nearly doubled year over year, with adoption of Voyage embeddings also doubling. Emergent Labs picked Atlas over PostgreSQL to power agents across 6 million applications in 190 countries, and ElevenLabs is leaning on Atlas search to support its push to $330 million ARR. CFO Mike Berry cautioned these customers “remain early in their MongoDB journey and are not yet meaningful drivers of revenue.” Investors will look for whether that framing holds or softens.
Third, the leadership transition. CRO Paul Keppambesis is on his way out, the CRO search is in final stages, and new Chief Customer Officer Erica Volini started March 3. Berry said the team change was “factored into guidance assumptions,” so any commentary on field execution will carry weight.
