If you didn’t but a new refrigerator or range in December, you missed the best month of the year to make that purchase according to a report from Consumers Union, publishers of Consumer Reports magazine. This year, though, Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) is giving you a second chance.

The company better known for consumer electronics (smartphones, TVs, computers, etc.) is selling major appliances for up to 25% off the regular price including free delivery on higher priced items plus financing options. Even though most consumers buy a new appliance only when the current one fails, this might be a good time to consider updating that 15-year old refrigerator that’s making a funny noise now and then.

Best Buy and Samsung have teamed up to offer a free Samsung 32-inch LED 1080p, HD smart TV (UN32J5205AFXZA) when customers buy Samsung kitchen or laundry appliances totaling at least $2,499. For example, a 28.2-cubic foot 4-door Apps refrigerator in stainless steel (RF28HMELBSR) that regularly sells for $3,599.99 is on sale for $2,599.99, a savings of 28%. Delivery is free, but there may be an installation charge to hook up the thru-the-door ice and water dispenser. Best Buy also charges a fee to haul away the old fridge. And there is that free TV.

A matching washer-dryer set from Whirlpool includes sale pricing on the appliances themselves plus a manufacturer’s incentive of $100 to $250 in the form of a pre-paid Mastercard. The deal is available on several sets (and may be available on some washers or dryers separately) including a Duet 4.5-cubic foot 12-cycle high-efficiency steam front-loading washer (WFW95HEDC) for $899.99, a $300 savings (25%) off the regular price. Delivery is free.

The matching electric dryer, a Duet 7.4-cubic foot 10-cycle steam model (WED95HEDC) is offered at the same price and savings. The gas dryer cost $999.99, also a $300 savings.
