He has also made a few unpopular decisions, including snubbing U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during her tour of Asia, seen as a preferential gesture toward China, which firmly protested Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in August. Yoon, 61, is a member of the conservative People Power Party.
