From Quartz: The winner of the World Cup is Apple.
Players from around the world have been seen wearing Apple’s AirPods wireless earbuds, and Beats headphones, which Apple also owns, before matches, disembarking planes, or even returning to their home countries in defeat.
At least nine pairs are visible in Mike Murphy’s photo spread.
My take: Do these guys look like idiots to you? Walking around with white tubes in your ears might have just become cool—at least for professional athletes.
