BlackRock Q3 2026: $205B inflows fuel a fifth straight EPS beat

Clients handed BlackRock $205 billion of net inflows in a single quarter, a pace that lifted the adjusted operating margin and extended the EPS beat streak to five. Management says the seasonally strongest quarter is still ahead.

BlackRock pulled in $205 billion of net inflows during the quarter, spanning every asset class, client type, and region the firm operates in. That breadth of demand lifted assets under management and pushed revenue ahead of the consensus estimate.
Adjusted diluted EPS of $15.93 came in above expectations, extending BlackRock's streak of topping Wall Street's EPS forecast to five consecutive quarters. The adjusted operating margin widened, so the firm is converting a larger share of each revenue dollar into profit even as the platform grows.
iShares ETFs were the single largest driver of inflow momentum, attracting $135 billion on their own, while active strategies contributed led by fixed income and systematic equities. Technology services revenue grew as Aladdin and multi-product subscriptions expanded, and CEO Laurence Fink noted that adjusted earnings per share grew more than 35% year-over-year.
BlackRock also returned capital to shareholders, declaring and paying a dividend of $5.73 per share in the quarter and completing $550 million in share repurchases. Net income rose 25.4% year-over-year, giving buyback and dividend programs a stronger earnings base to work from.
Management said the firm is entering the fourth quarter with accelerating momentum and a pipeline spanning whole portfolio solutions, private markets, retirement, and international platforms. The fourth quarter is historically BlackRock's seasonally strongest, which sets a high bar but also a clear near-term catalyst for investors tracking whether the current inflow pace holds.
