On October 5, 2026, Petrobras's two U.S.-listed share classes stood apart from every other name on a 383-stock board, with the A shares gaining 12.83% on the session. No other stock in the universe matched a double-digit percentage move, making the Brazilian oil giant the undisputed story of the day.

The next-closest gainers were MercadoLibre and Tempus AI, with the best of them adding 9.87%. Those are strong individual sessions in their own right, but the gap between them and either Petrobras class underscores just how far ahead the oil company ran, with Futu Holdings also closing in the green.

The losing side of the ledger was notably contained. Opendoor Technologies was the session's worst performer, dropping 4.71% to $2.33, and no other decliner gave up more than 4.1%. When the hardest-hit stock on a 383-name board falls less than 5% while the top two names each climb more than 11%, the day's skew toward buyers is pronounced.

Nebius Group, Bristol Myers Squibb, Nokia, and Corning all closed lower, with none shedding more than 4.1%. Their losses were orderly, which kept the session's overall tone constructive despite pockets of selling pressure across tech infrastructure and pharmaceuticals.
