London finished higher while Frankfurt and Paris both slipped, a full point of separation between the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 in a single session. UK exposure is where that gap is paying.

The FTSE 100 ended the session at 14,111 while its continental peers moved in the opposite direction, with the DAX and the CAC 40 both closing lower.
Both indices opened in positive territory, but Frankfurt and Paris lost ground steadily through the afternoon while London held its gains into the close.
For investors with European equity exposure, the session is a reminder that regional allocation within Europe is doing real work right now. UK-weighted positions outperformed continental ones by a meaningful margin in a single day.
The DAX and CAC 40 both spent the bulk of the session in negative territory and kept sliding into the final hour.
