The Dow's 570-point midday slide is doing almost all the damage while the Nasdaq sits within a rounding error of flat. Selling is concentrated in old-economy blue chips, so index-level calm is hiding a real rotation.

The S&P 500 is down about 0.3% at midday, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average is off more than 1% and accounting for nearly all of that pressure while the Nasdaq Composite sits essentially flat.
The selling is concentrated in old-economy blue chips, with heavier industrial and financial components leading the retreat rather than a broad move down across all sectors.
