Carpenter Technology Corporation is a specialty alloy materials and process solutions company serving critical applications in the aerospace and defense, medical, energy, transportation, and industrial and consumer markets. Founded in 1889, the company specializes in premium specialty alloys including nickel, cobalt, and titanium, along with advanced material process capabilities. It operates through two segments: Specialty Alloys Operations (SAO), which encompasses major premium alloy and stainless steel manufacturing operations at mills primarily in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Alabama; and Performance Engineered Products (PEP), which includes the Dynamet titanium business, Carpenter Additive business, and the Latrobe and Mexico distribution businesses.
