Markets in Europe were down slightly at 5.25 AM New York time.

The FTSE fell .3% to 6,405. Barclays was down .5% to 776.5. BP was up .4% to 536. BT was down .6% to 314.5. GlaxoSmithKline was down .5% to 1485. Prudential was down .4% to 714. Reuters was up .5% to 429.25. Unilever was up .1% to 1404. Vodafone was down 1% to 149.

The DAXX was down .1% to 6,957. Bayer was down .9% to 45.13. DeutscheBank was up .1% to 107.05. DaimlerChrysler was up 4.9% to 54.01. Deutsche Telekom was down 1.4% to 13.59. SAP was down .7% to 36.09. Siemens was down 1.2% to 83.1.

The CAC 40 was down .1% to 5,718. Alcatel-Lucent was down .4% to 10.04. AXA was down 1% to 32.81. France Telecom was down .5% to 21.37. Sanofi-Aventis was up .6% to 66.95. ST Micro was down .7% to 14.47. Vivendi was up .1% to 31.31.
