In a 13D filing Friday (equity market closed) on Alpha Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: ANR), SCSF Equities (Sun Capital) disclosed a 5% stake (3.28 million shares) in the Company.

The firm said it may buy or sell shares of ANR and said they may engage in discussions with representatives of the company. Other than that, the firm has no present plans or proposals that relate to or that would result in any of the actions specified in clauses (a) through (j) of Item 4 of Schedule 13D.
