AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR) has now been halted so many times that there may be a discrepancy from source to source on just how many times the stock has halted.  By our count, it was eight times.  This is due to the single-stock circuit breakers.

The idea of the single-stock circuit breakers came from the Flash Crash.  Many investors believe that the frequency that the price moves 10% is happening too often.  This is another one of those examples.
