Morgan Stanley has raised its forecast for the price of oil to a range of $85 to $125 for the first quarter.
According to MarketWatch, the bank’s opinion is that the lower end of the spectrum is more likely:
“Barring a supply disruption, we estimate larger-than-normal inventory builds in the first half,” it said. And if geopolitical tensions recede, “the risk premium built into crude is likely to fade as the market’s focus returns to fundamentals.”
