MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR | MSTR Price Prediction) has effectively turned itself into a leveraged Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) holding vehicle. The stock now trades as a magnified proxy for Bitcoin, and after a punishing 12 months, the model sees room to run.

Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for MSTR is $260.67, implying 59.63% upside from $163.56. The recommendation is buy with moderate 50% confidence given the stock’s extreme sensitivity to Bitcoin.

A Violent Round Trip on the Bitcoin Rollercoaster

MSTR has traveled a brutal path. Shares are down 51.31% over the past year, well below the $365.21 52-week high but off the $81.81 low. Momentum has flipped: the stock rallied 26.2% in a week and 37.16% in a month, tracking Bitcoin’s 13.59% one-week bounce to roughly $84,220.

Q2 FY26, reported July 30, 2026, showed EPS of -$24.45 against $3.07 consensus, revenue of $122.37M, and an $8.32B unrealized digital asset loss. Subscription services grew 54% YoY, convertible debt fell 18% to $6.7B, and BTC holdings climbed 11% to 846,000 BTC.

Why Bulls See a Path to $390

The bull case rests on Bitcoin. Management’s seven-year plan targets doubling Bitcoin-per-share, funded by $8.41B in Q2 ATM issuance and the STRC preferred franchise, paying a 12% annualized dividend.

Our bull-case scenario puts MSTR at $392.33 within 12 months if Bitcoin reclaims prior highs. Analyst ratings skew heavily bullish, with 12 Buys and 2 Strong Buys versus one Hold.

What Could Go Wrong

The bear case is straightforward: Bitcoin keeps sliding. BTC is down 22.79% year-over-year, MSTR carries $6.7B in convertibles, and preferred dividend obligations totaled $400.7M in Q2 alone. Polymarket traders assign a 75% probability of MSCI index removal by year-end, a technical risk to passive flows.

Our bear-case target sits at $204.56. Bulls counter that Strategy’s $3.75B USD Reserve covers over two years of obligations, and management noted only an extreme scenario of Bitcoin at $8,000 sustained for five years would create real convertible stress.

How MSTR Compares to Coinbase and MARA

Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) is the closest crypto-financial-services comparable. COIN carries a $44.4B market cap on $1.22B in Q2 26 revenue, with 48% from subscription and services. MSTR’s $61.65B cap looks aggressive on a revenue basis but justifiable given the treasury.

MARA Holdings (NASDAQ:MARA) is the closest BTC-treasury peer. MARA holds 35,577 BTC and trades at $5.19B, well below MSTR’s treasury value alone. That comparison makes our price target reasonable: MSTR trades at roughly 1.2x its BTC carrying value, while MARA trades below 0.5x, reflecting execution risk rather than pure BTC premium.

MicroStrategy Price Prediction 2026-2030

My 24/7 Wall St. price target for MSTR is $260.67 with a buy rating and 50% confidence. The setup strengthens if Bitcoin holds above $80,000 into year-end and weakens if BTC breaks toward the mid-$70s.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target
2026 $180.96
2027 $270.07
2028 $357.90
2029 $461.83
2030 $512.69

These projections assume Strategy continues accumulating Bitcoin and maintaining capital markets access. Significant upside or downside could result from a sustained BTC breakout past $150,000 or a prolonged crypto winter.
