AMD’s growth story now rests on one market. Management expects data center AI accelerators to grow more than 45% annually to approximately $1.4 trillion by 2030.

Shares trade close to their 52-week high of $639, so a great deal of that opportunity is already in the price. That is why our model views AMD sitting near fair value.

Why Our Model Could Miss the Upside

Today’s price sits above the 24/7 Wall St. price target. If the Helios rack ramps faster than expected or gigawatt-scale deployments with OpenAI, Meta, and Anthropic arrive ahead of schedule, earnings could exceed our model.

AMD price scenario

A Trillion-Dollar Run Built on Data Center Demand

AMD is up 194.47% year to date and 31.13% over the past month. That rally raised it into the trillion-dollar club and far above its 52-week low of $159.33.

In the Q2 earnings report, revenue came in at $11.54 billion, up 50.11% and ahead of the $11.31B estimate. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.66 also exceeded the $1.6107 estimate. Data Center revenue rose 107% to $6.72 billion. Q3 guidance calls for about $13 billion.

Why Bulls See $682 Within Reach

Helios shipments were on track to begin during the third quarter of 2026. Management expects data center revenue to “more than double year-over-year in 2027“. OpenAI plans 6 GW of deployments, Meta up to 6 GW, and Anthropic up to two gigawatts.

Analysts keep raising estimates. The average fiscal 2027 EPS estimate rose to $15.5707 from $13.1037 90 days ago, with a high estimate of $20.25. Coverage stands at 4 Strong Buy, 39 Buy, and 11 Hold ratings, with no Sells. The bull case lands at $682.40.

Risks That Could Drag AMD Toward $465

AMD trades at a trailing P/E of 162. Gaming revenue fell 31%, export controls remain a threat, and Helios yields need improvement. Free cash flow slid 9.89% to $1.558 billion as capital expenditures rose 186.52% to meet demand. Insider activity shows net selling. Bearish expectations sit at $464.61.

How AMD Compares to NVIDIA and Intel

NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) leads the AI accelerator market AMD is trailing and trades at 25x forward earnings, compared with 40x for AMD.

Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) competes directly with EPYC in x86 servers. Its trailing EPS is -$2.09, and it carries 32 Hold ratings. Intel’s 63x forward multiple makes AMD’s valuation look more reasonable.

Company Forward P/E Price/Sales (TTM)
AMD 40 24.92
NVIDIA 25 17.94
Intel 63 11.4

AMD sits between these peers on forward earnings, making the 24/7 Wall St. price target reasonable.

AMD Price Prediction 2026-2030

The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $602.27 supports a high-confidence hold rating. Valuation is key. AMD looks more compelling if Helios volumes raised 2027 EPS toward the high estimate, but caution makes sense if yields or export rules delay the ramp.

Year Price Target by 24/7 Wall St.
2026 $597.87
2027 $590.51
2028 $624.03
2029 $619.74
2030 $626.91

These projections assume AMD stays on its present course. Faster AI accelerator share increases could push results well above this path, while an AI spending slowdown could pull them well below it.
