Here Are Wednesday’s Top Wall Street Analyst Research Calls: Enphase Energy, F5, Marvell Technology, MSG Rangers, Pentair, Silicon Motion Technology, Spotify Technology, Texas Instruments, Whirlpool, and More
With the Fed rate decision dropping at 2:30 PM and Alphabet and Microsoft reporting before the bell, Wednesday's analyst calls on Enphase, Spotify, Whirlpool, and a newly public Rangers franchise land at a pivotal moment for markets.
Pre-Market Stock Futures:
Futures are trading mixed as we await an interest-rate announcement from Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh today at 2:30 PM EDT. Most of Wall Street believes the Fed will pass on a rate hike here, especially ahead of the midterm elections, and raise rates in December, its last meeting of 2026. This follows another solid day on Wall Street Tuesday, but the real show was the Nasdaq, which closed up 1.18% at 26,477, as news broke Monday that the Anthropic filing paperwork had dropped and the IPO could come as early as the week of November 16. The S&P 500 posted back-to-back gains, closing at 4,722, while the small-cap Russell 2000 stayed hot, up 1.18% at 2,818. The Dow Jones Industrials closed just above breakeven at 2,277, up 0.03%.
The spotlight today is on Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL | GOOGL Price Prediction) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) ahead of their pre-market reports. Earnings will matter, but commentary on AI funding, cash flows, and 2027 projections will be equally, if not more, important.
Treasury Bonds:
Except for the short end, yields were modestly higher Tuesday ahead of today’s Fed announcement, and the chairman’s commentary will be closely scrutinized for hints about the Fed’s rate plans and direction. The 30-year bond closed at 5.31%, while the 10-year note finsihed the session at 4.99%.
Oil and Gas:
For the second straight day, oil prices fell, and positive chatter again focused on the potential impact of progress in the war with Iran. Reports circulated of direct discussions with Iranian leaders regarding conditions to end the war. As we noted, energy prices will trade lower when the conflict ends. However, global logistics for oil transportation, storage, and delivery have been bottlenecked for almost a year, and that will take time to resolve. Brent Crude closed Tuesday at $114.30, while West Texas Intermediate was last seen at $100.30. After a touch-and-go session, natural gas finished higher, closing at $2.73, up 5%.
Gold:
After dipping below the $4,000 level early in the day, gold rallied solidly in the afternoon on lower oil prices. At the final bell, the bullion closed at $4,059, up 1.09%, while silver closed at $54.57, up 0.89%. Needless to say, all eyes in the precious and base metals world will be trained on the Fed announcements later today.
Crypto:
It was a grind-it-out, sluggish Tuesday for digital assets, with the cryptocurrency market trading in a tight, subdued range. Major players hovered right around key psychological levels, weighed down by macro headwinds and institutional capital rotation. Bitcoin briefly slipped below its critical $80,000 threshold, touching an intraday low of $79,400 before clawing its way back to finish flat near $80,500. The OG of the crypto world faced distinct downward pressure after top corporate holder MicroStrategy paused its aggressive buying campaign. Adding to the negative sentiment, massive institutional outflows from U.S. spot ETFs late last week kept buyers on the sidelines. At 8 AM EDT, Bitcoin was trading at $80,167, while Ethereum was quoted at $2,341.
