We Asked AI Models Whether Solana Reaches $150 Before Bitcoin Reaches $100,000

ChatGPT and Grok both believe Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) will reach $150 before Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) reaches $100,000, even though the numbers show Solana has farther to go. We asked both AI models the same question about Solana’s price prediction, and they both favored Solana despite its tougher challenge.
On October 1, 2026, Solana was priced at $118, while Bitcoin was at $84,721. This meant Solana needed to rise by 27.1%, while Bitcoin needed to climb 18%. ChatGPT acknowledged that Bitcoin had the easier climb but still gave Solana a 68% chance of hitting $150 first. Grok took a more cautious stance, estimating a 58% chance.
As of October 3, Solana trades around $119, and Bitcoin is near $84,621, meaning Solana has to gain 25.6%, while Bitcoin faces a climb of 18.2%. So why did both models prefer Solana’s more difficult ascent, and how much confidence should we place in their predictions?
Solana’s Momentum and Fund Inflows Drove Both AI Picks

The first reason for their predictions is the momentum behind Solana’s price. Recent data supports this: over the past month, Solana has surged by 19.8%, and by 62.8% in the last 60 days, capping an impressive 48% gain in the third quarter. In contrast, Bitcoin gained only 7.6% and 31.2% during the same periods.
However, Solana started from a significantly lower point. It fell to a weekly low of $71 the week of August 2, then bounced back to a high of $125 the week of September 27. Despite this remarkable 77% recovery, Solana is still down 46.1% from the previous year and far from its all-time high near $295.
Grok mentioned that Solana’s annualized volatility – a measure of how much the price fluctuates over a year – is about 1.8 times that of Bitcoin. This higher volatility means Solana can move farther in the same timeframe, which may explain why both models overlooked the larger gap.
The second factor influencing their predictions is the strong demand from funds investing in Solana. These funds, which let buyers gain exposure to SOL through brokerage accounts, have seen 11 weeks of continuous inflows, amassing about 4.37 million SOL worth about $522 million. They recorded an impressive $188 million in a peak week, with ChatGPT indicating that Bitwise contributed around $128 million of that, or 68%.
ChatGPT and Grok Split on Solana’s 2026 Price Prediction

While both models agree on who is likely to reach their target first, they differ on timing and price predictions for Solana. ChatGPT anticipates Solana will hit $150 between mid and late October, eventually closing the year at $165, roughly 38% above its current price. It predicts a steady climb from $130 to $135, then $145 to $150, followed by a rise to $165.
Grok expects Solana will reach $150 in November, provided Solana funds continue to take in between $50 million and $150 million weekly and that the price holds above the $116 to $120 range. Currently, Solana is trading near $119, but Grok believes it will end the year back below $150, at $142, suggesting that while Solana might touch $150, it could quickly retreat afterward.
On Bitcoin, the models are nearly in agreement. ChatGPT sees Bitcoin reaching $100,000 in November, finishing the year at $96,000, while Grok predicts it will hit $100,000 in December and end the year at $97,500. Both models expect Bitcoin to touch $100,000 before ending 2026 below that mark.
ChatGPT and Grok are language models that generate text based on data and trends, and they don’t have a history of market predictions. Their insights could be influenced by similar headlines about Solana’s recent fund inflows.
Will Solana Reach $150 Before Bitcoin Hits $100,000?
Solana has a strong chance of reaching $150 first due to its higher price swings and sustained demand from funds. However, the competition is tighter than ChatGPT’s 68% suggests, since one major issuer contributed significantly to Solana’s record inflow week. Solana must also hold above the $116 to $120 range, break through the recent high of $125 (a jump of about 5%), and surpass the $130 to $135 range before hitting $150.
For Solana holders, this suggests caution, as Grok’s analysis implies that reaching $150 might lead to a temporary peak. Meanwhile, Bitcoin needs to test its recent high of $87,397 from late September, which is about 3% higher than its current price.
Both models voiced that if Bitcoin funds draw in over $1 billion weekly while Solana funds see outflows, the predictions could shift dramatically. Will this Solana price prediction hold up through October?
