Which Cryptocurrency Is Most Likely to 10x by 2030: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, or Solana?
A 10x gain sounds the same for every coin, but the math behind reaching it differs by trillions of dollars. Before putting money on your favorite cryptocurrency, see which one actually has the most realistic shot at hitting that milestone…

Investors in Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), XRP (CRYPTO:XRP), and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) often hear predictions that their coins could 10x by 2030. However, what a 10x increase means varies greatly between these cryptocurrencies. For Solana, it would mean growing from a market cap of approximately $70 billion to $700 billion. For Bitcoin, it would need to rise from $1.69 trillion to nearly $17 trillion—almost three times the value of Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction), currently around $6 trillion.
So which crypto stands the best chance of achieving a 10x increase by 2030, and what would each need to do to make that leap?
Market Cap, Not Price, Decides How Hard a 10x Is

A coin’s price alone doesn’t provide much information, especially since these four cryptocurrencies have different token supplies. Market cap is the key metric here. It calculates a cryptocurrency’s total value by multiplying the price of one coin by the number of coins in circulation. This figure determines how much new investment is required for a 10x increase. Investors must be willing to pay the higher price for every circulating coin, so a larger starting market cap requires significantly more total investment.
Here’s a table comparing the four cryptocurrencies, ranked by their targets for a 10x increase as of October 7, 2026:
| Coin | Current Price | Current Market Cap | Price at 10x | Market Cap at 10x |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solana | $119 | $70 billion | $1,189 | $700 billion |
| XRP | $1.47 | $93 billion | $14.70 | $930 billion |
| Ethereum | $2,617 | $320 billion | $26,169 | $3.2 trillion |
| Bitcoin | $84,232 | $1.69 trillion | $842,319 | $16.9 trillion |
Solana and XRP Need Less Than $1 Trillion to Rise 10x

Solana and XRP have the smallest market cap targets for achieving a 10x increase. For instance, reaching $700 billion for Solana and $930 billion for XRP would not require the creation of a new market, as these values are comparable to some of the largest U.S. tech companies.
However, both cryptocurrencies do have increasing supplies. Solana rewards holders (stakers) with new tokens for helping secure its network, while Ripple can release up to 1 billion XRP each month from an escrow account. If their supplies increase significantly, the same market values could result in lower prices than expected.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Have Bigger Buyers but Far Bigger Targets

Bitcoin and Ethereum benefit from greater demand. They have larger investor bases, more established ETF markets, and better access for institutional investors like banks and pension funds, making them more attractive for big-money investments.
Nevertheless, their targets are quite high. For Ethereum to reach a 10x increase, it would need a market cap of about $3.2 trillion, corresponding to a price per coin of $26,000. That would place it among the few assets valued over $3 trillion. Bitcoin, on the other hand, would need to surge to about $16.9 trillion or roughly $842,000 per coin. This equates to nearly 60% of the total value of all gold ever mined, estimated around $29 trillion at a price of $4,133 per ounce.
Supply dynamics could work in Bitcoin and Ethereum’s favor. Bitcoin’s maximum supply is capped at 21 million coins, while Ethereum’s protocol burns a portion of its transaction fees, which offsets much of its new issuance over time.
Which Crypto Is Most Likely to 10x by 2030?
Based on our analysis, Solana appears to have the highest chance of achieving a 10x increase by 2030, primarily because it has the smallest target. However, its demand must outpace the growth of its token supply. XRP follows closely, though potential escrow releases could add more coins as prices rise. Ethereum ranks third, while Bitcoin sits at the bottom of the list, needing to grow nearly three times as much as Nvidia for a successful 10x.
This ranking has important implications. The cryptocurrency with the easiest math—Solana—has a smaller pool of large buyers. Solana’s market cap would first need to surpass XRP’s $93 billion, then Ethereum’s $320 billion. If Solana’s price exceeds $1,189 before Ethereum reaches $26,169, the ranking holds. But if Ethereum hits its target first, it suggests larger investors’ buying power outweighs starting size, making the order potentially inaccurate.
