We Asked Claude Where XRP Trades in 2 Years

XRP sits far below its record high, and an AI chatbot has a timeline for the comeback. Its forecast hinges on a Bitcoin cycle, fresh ETF money, and one catch that could keep the rally out of reach.

XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) could reach $2.40 by November 2028, according to Claude, with a possible range of $1.60 to $3.50. This prediction is still below XRP’s all-time high of $3.65, achieved in July 2025. XRP is priced at $1.18, down 4.7% for the day and 4.6% for the week.

Many XRP holders frequently ask AI chatbots about its potential recovery. In response, 24/7 Wall St. sought Claude’s insights, asking, “XRP is trading at about $1.19 today. Where do you see XRP going in two years? Please give one price or a clear range with your main reasons.” Although the specific timing and model details weren’t provided, the two-year mark falls around November 2028.

Claude’s answer put XRP at about $2.40 by November 2028, with a likely range of $1.60 to $3.50. That target represents roughly a 100% increase from the current price of $1.19, although it would still leave XRP short of its all-time high of $3.65 from July 2025. This is one model’s perspective, not financial advice.

What a Price of $2.40 Would Mean for XRP’s Market Cap

Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the price by the circulating supply. XRP’s market cap is around $75.3 billion, with 63.5 billion coins in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100 billion. If XRP reaches $2.40, its market cap could rise to about $152.4 billion, still well below Ethereum’s (CRYPTO: ETH) $272.3 billion.

As supply increases, the market cap needed to support any given price grows. Ripple gradually releases XRP from escrow, and at $2.40, all 100 billion coins would be worth $240 billion fully diluted. So to double its market cap, XRP would likely need far more than double the new capital inflows.

$3.50 +196.6% Claude’s high

Claude pointed out that the coin has room to recover, explaining that XRP has dropped sharply from its peak, creating potential upside. At $1.19, XRP is about 67% below its all-time high, and historically, it has rebounded from losses during market cycles, particularly leading up to and after a Bitcoin halving.

A rise to $2.40 would recapture about half of that drop, which Claude called a feasible outcome given XRP’s liquidity and retail interest.

Bitcoin’s Next Halving

Claude emphasized timing, noting that the upcoming Bitcoin halving, expected around April 2028, may lead to a bullish phase. In previous cycles, the strongest gains often came within six to eighteen months after a halving, and altcoins like XRP tend to perform well once Bitcoin has already broken out. November 2028 falls early in that timeframe, suggesting a higher price than today, but not necessarily the cycle’s peak.

A Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) halving occurs approximately every four years and cuts the reward miners receive for mining new blocks in half. After the last one, XRP surged from $0.51 in October 2024 to $1.94 that November. Bitcoin trades about 40% below its peak, and the Fear and Greed Index reads 41, signaling fear.

Spot XRP ETF Demand

Claude also pointed to institutional interest, noting that spot XRP ETFs give financial advisers, retirement accounts and institutions a regulated way to invest in XRP. That demand was lacking in previous cycles and could create steady buying pressure once the market turns.

A spot ETF holds physical coins and trades like a stock. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have drawn $1.81 billion in net inflows through November 5, 2026, per SoSoValue. Demand has since slowed, peaking at $8.4 million on October 29 before three consecutive flat days. Spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $430.2 million on November 5, per Farside.

Ripple’s Business and the SEC Case

Claude added that Ripple’s expanding business could support demand for XRP. The company’s payments network, its RLUSD stablecoin, and its push into custody and tokenized assets all run alongside the XRP Ledger. If even part of that growth drives genuine XRP use for transactions and liquidity, it strengthens the case beyond speculation.

Regulatory risk is also significantly lower than in previous years. The end of the SEC case removed a major overhang, and clearer rules could encourage banks and payment firms to adopt XRP directly.

Will XRP Reach $2.40 by November 2028?

While the outlook for XRP carries some optimism, it seems more likely that XRP will fall short of the $2.40 target by November 2028. A recovery in Bitcoin’s price and a return to steady ETF inflows matter most, along with XRP reclaiming its $1.57 high from September 22, 2026 and its $1.84 price from December 31, 2025.

Claude’s own XRP price prediction stops at 2028, so a 2030 forecast needs a separate question entirely.

If XRP falls below its $0.99 low from August 16, 2026, even $1.00 becomes a harder level to defend.
