XRP sits far below its record high while Ripple keeps unlocking more coins and ETF inflows have gone quiet. A round $5 target would force it past a rival crypto giant, and a few specific signals will show whether buyers…

XRP holders (CRYPTO: XRP) are closely watching the $5 mark in their 2030 price predictions. This round number is the next level above XRP’s all-time high of $3.65, reached on July 17, 2025. XRP is trading at $1.16 on November 7, 2026, having dropped 2.9% in the last 24 hours and 7.1% over the past week. To reach $5, XRP would need to increase by approximately 331%.

Recent trends indicate a downturn for XRP. The coin has fallen about 18% from $1.42 and is down about 37% year to date. As it stands, XRP is about 68% below its all-time high, meaning many holders have seen a significant reversal from the 2025 rally.

In our previous analysis, we explored what 1,000 XRP might be worth in 2030. But what does a realistic XRP price prediction for 2030 look like, and what needs to happen for it to reach that coveted $5 mark?

At $5, XRP Would Exceed Ethereum’s Value

Two shiny, silver-colored physical cryptocurrency coins, Ethereum and Ripple (XRP), stand upright on a dark, reflective surface. The coin on the left has the Ethereum logo in gold and the word 'ethereum' embossed below it. The coin on the right features a gold outline of a world map made of dots, the XRP logo, and the word 'ripple' at the bottom. Both coins cast clear reflections below them. In the blurred background, several stacks of similar coins are visible, contributing to a sense of financial depth.

If XRP did hit $5, the circulating supply of 63,516,606,953 XRP would result in a market capitalization of around $317.6 billion. Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the price by the total coins in circulation. Currently, XRP’s market cap is approximately $73.8 billion, making it the fifth-largest cryptocurrency. For XRP to reach $5, it would need to surpass Ethereum’s current market cap (CRYPTO: ETH), which stands at about $273.9 billion.

Ripple’s scheduled escrow releases complicate this upward trajectory. XRP has a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, and Ripple unlocks more from escrow at set intervals. Each release spreads demand across more coins, so XRP now needs a higher market value to return to its January 2018 peak near $3.92 than it did back then.

XRP Price Change From $1.16 Multiple Market Value at Current Supply Versus All-Time High
$3 +158.6% 2.59x $190.5 billion 0.82x
$3.65 (all-time high) +214.7% 3.15x $231.8 billion 1x
$5 +331.0% 4.31x $317.6 billion 1.37x
$10 +762.1% 8.62x $635.2 billion 2.74x

Some investors speculate whether XRP could ever reach $100. Achieving such a milestone would require an astronomical gain of around 8,521%, resulting in a market value close to $6.35 trillion, well beyond Bitcoin’s current market cap of $1.53 trillion, so this figure remains more theoretical than achievable.

Spot XRP ETF Inflows Have Plateaued

As of November 5, cumulative net inflows into Spot XRP ETFs, which allow investors to hold XRP through a brokerage account, reached $1.808 billion. That’s just below the $1.809 billion peak set on October 29, when the ETFs recorded their largest single-day inflow of the past month at around $8.4 million.

However, inflows have stalled since then. From November 3 to November 5, there were no net inflows, and total net assets dropped from $1.61 billion on October 7 to $1.41 billion as XRP’s price declined.

The first launch highlighted the limits of demand for these funds. The Canary XRP ETF (NASDAQ: XRPC) debuted on November 13, 2025. XRP started that month at $2.51 but closed at $2.16, suggesting the launch did not curb selling pressure.

XRP Relies on Bitcoin’s Recovery

XRP typically mirrors Bitcoin’s (CRYPTO: BTC) price movements and often sees sharper declines. Currently, Bitcoin is trading around $75,876, approximately 40% below its all-time high of $126,080 from October 6, 2025. Over the past year, Bitcoin has fallen 26.9%, while XRP has dropped more sharply by 48.5%.

The last major crypto rally demonstrates what a recovery can achieve. XRP opened in November 2024 at $0.51, surged to $1.94 by month-end, and then reached an all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025. However, even during that rally, XRP fell short of $5.

Can XRP Reach $5 by 2030?

In our assessment, reaching $5 by 2030 appears unlikely for XRP. It would need a 4.31x gain and a significant move above its previous all-time high. First, XRP must recover to its 200-day moving average of $1.27, about 9% above its current price, and then to its 50-day average of $1.38. Bitcoin also needs to rebound toward its all-time high, and ETF inflows must exceed the October 29 peak to show sustained demand.

Only after these milestones does XRP’s previous high of $3.65 come into play, and $5 stays out of reach until XRP closes above it. If ETF demand stagnates and Bitcoin keeps trading far below $126,080, XRP may stay in the range it has held since its $0.99 low on August 16. Cumulative inflows above $1.809 billion with XRP above $1.27 would signal returning buyers, while a fall below $0.99 would make $5 far less likely.
