When we identified America’s 50 worst cities to live in, we looked at variables such as crime rates, incomes, and housing affordability. After tabulating the results, Miami, Florida, came out on top (bottom?) as the worst. Now, adding another first-among-the-worst ranking, Miami has also been named America’s rudest city.

In a survey that was completed in April, Travel + Leisure Magazine asked readers to name their favorite U.S. cities based on 65 criteria, one of which was how cordial (or not) the locals seem to be. We assume that poor scores on that measure went a long way in determining the country’s rudest cities.

Here’s Travel + Leisure’s summary of Miami’s rudeness quotient:

Last year’s runner-up is now the top dog when it comes to our readers’ impressions of rudeness. It’s hard to imagine how anyone could be in a bad mood here, what with the city’s perennial tropical weather and pristine beachfront real estate. After all, it ranked as one of the best cities in the country for a Beach Getaway. But maybe it’s Miami’s display of luxury, from gleaming new condos to couture boutiques, that turned off travelers. In addition to rudeness, the city had a pretty high snob score.

The full list of the 15 rudest American cities follows. For details, see the magazine’s list.
