The Most Popular Musicians on Tour This Fall

Calling all music fanatics and concert junkies who crave a euphoric live performance from their favorite artists. A few of us music fans at 24/7 Wall St. compiled a list of the most popular music acts touring this fall.

There are plenty of ways to find out who will be on tour and when, including perusing ticket-selling powerhouses such as Ticketmaster, AXS, and StubHub. But to find which of these acts are most popular, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the number of fans tracking concerts of each band on ticket-selling platform Songkick, and their average daily Wikipedia page views. Of the top 358 musicians that are touring this fall, these are the 100 most popular.

So who should you expect to find on this list? The most popular touring musicians are mostly big names any pop culture follower and music fan would expect. Think anything from artists relatively fresh on the scene to those who have been active for decades and are now considered legends.

The multi-faceted Bruno Mars ranks toward the top of the list with his mastery of combining several music styles into one song. Hints of reggae, R&B, pop, funk, and soul can be heard in all of his albums, and he remains a favorite of many since he debuted as a singer in 2010 with the hit single, “Nothin’ On You.”

Also in the top 25 is none other than the famed English rock band, with members now in their seventies, the Rolling Stones. Debuting in 1962, the band, which continues to tour the world today, has accumulated over 1.1 million followers on Songkick. Songkick itself was launched just in 2007, or 45 years after the Rolling Stones was formed.
