The weekend of Black Friday has come and gone, but the 2017 holiday shopping period is far from over. In fact, according to one estimate, eight of the 10 busiest shopping days have yet to come. One of the three busiest days? Friday the 23rd — two days before Christmas.

However, many shoppers will choose in the coming days to stay home and be part of the growing group of online shoppers in order to avoid the lines, crowds, and cutthroat parking. And many of the gifts these people will be looking for are tech products.
Some of this year’s hottest tech gifts are going to be too expensive for those shopping on a budget. If you’re looking for the newest smartphone, laptop, or gaming console, you can expect to spend hundreds, if not thousands. However, online shoppers looking for bargains on this year’s hottest tech products need not worry. 24/7 Wall St. has done the work and found this year’s hottest tech products that can be bought online for $50 or less.

Many of this year’s hot products include headphones, portable speakers, smart hubs and speakers, and streaming devices. These includes the latest generation of the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, the new Google Home Mini, and streaming devices like Amazon’s Fire TV Stick and the Roku Streaming Stick.
While the major names in tech manufacturing, including Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon make the list, newcomers, lesser-known companies, and independent manufacturers like JBL, WeMo, Anker, and Tile are prominently featured on this list.
24/7 Wall St. reviewed a number of third-party sources, as well as Amazon.com’s section of items commonly bought as gifts, to identify hundreds of tech gifts projected to be popular this holiday season that cost under $50. Using Google’s Keyword Planner, we identified the search terms that Google projects will be most popular from November 23 through December 25 in order to narrow the list to the 50 most popular items.
