Methodology:

To determine the most popular grocery store in every state, 24/7 Wall St. ranked grocery stores using a combination of data from business directory website Yelp and Google Trends. First, we found the five grocery stores with the highest number of reviews on Yelp in each state. Then, we compared the top five grocery stores in each state on Google Trends to find which had the highest search volume between Nov. 24, 2019 to Nov. 22, 2020. The grocery store with the highest search volume on Google Trends in a given state was listed as the most popular in that state.
