Qualcomm is distributing roughly $983 million to shareholders on the ex-dividend date of September 3, with $0.92 per share set to arrive on September 24. Investors who are not on the books by today's close will not receive the payment.
Linde is the next-largest payout, sending approximately $738 million to investors at $1.60 per share, with cash landing on September 17. NetEase follows with about $307 million at $0.48 per share, payable September 18.
Principal Financial Group adds roughly $180 million to the day's total at $0.84 per share, with payment due September 25. Resources Connection is the smallest of the five, at $0.07 per share and just over $2.4 million in total, paid October 1.
For income-focused investors, today's ex-dividend date is the last chance to qualify for any of these five distributions. Missing it means waiting for the next dividend cycle across all of these names.
