Thursday's close split hard along hardware versus software: GoPro added 24.1% and SanDisk, Astera Labs and SK hynix all posted double-digit or near double-digit gains, while Asana, Workday and Snowflake each shed more than 5%. Tesla and Netflix fell with them.

GoPro's 24.1% surge to $1.73 led a winner's column where every name touched physical silicon or storage, alongside SanDisk, Astera Labs, SK hynix and Iren.

The losing side was almost a mirror image by category, with Asana down 11.84% and Workday and Snowflake also retreating across the software segment.

Tesla and Netflix joined the slide, widening the session's red column beyond pure software names and showing the selling pressure was not confined to one sector.

The sharpness of the divide on a single trading day makes it worth watching whether money is rotating into hardware as a deliberate positioning shift. If the pattern holds across subsequent sessions, the spread between these two groups becomes a meaningful signal for tech-sector allocation.
