Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/1/26

  • Cramer still buys Palantir at $190 after the stock gained 60% in Q3 and stalled short of his $250 target
  • Salesforce, up 46.5%, called the better SaaS-apocalypse rebound than Veeva at 30 times earnings
  • Caterpillar's 24% Q3 profit taking framed as a buying chance on data center engine demand
  • IBM, down 22% on its miss, gets the wait-a-quarter rule; Home Depot stays hostage to rates

Cramer wants to add software as the bounce-back trade and the beaten-down industrial names tied to data center power. He also warns that rising rates are the real threat heading into earnings season in a couple of weeks.

Dividend raised$0.44ex-date 2026-09-17 · 0.71% yield · 2 yrs paying · +5.8% YoY

Salesforce lifted its quarterly payout 5.8% to $0.44 a share, only its second year of paying anything at all. The 0.71% yield is small now, but owners today are buying into a dividend that is still compounding off a low base.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 9/15/26

  • Jensen Huang pegs each gigawatt of Nvidia AI factory buildout at roughly $50 billion to $60 billion
  • Huang rejects the AI slowdown case, saying safety is an engineering problem, not a reason to pause
  • Cramer broadcasts from Dreamforce with Salesforce's Marc Benioff and OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar on deck

Huang is putting a price tag on the buildout: $50 billion to $60 billion per gigawatt, with thousands of companies building. It answers the slow-down-AI camp on a day stocks sold off on surging oil and bond yields.

Five years ago $10,000 split between these two enterprise software rivals: Microsoft turned it into $17,527, while Salesforce handed back $9,598, still under water. A near $8,000 gap from the same starting line.

A 22.5% close for a company Salesforce's size almost never happens, and four of the five top gainers were cybersecurity names posting double-digit gains. The downside was tame by comparison: Expedia led decliners at just under 5%.

A single-session jump of 8.71% is rare for a $206 billion enterprise software name, and it follows Tuesday's Q2 FY2027 earnings beat. Keep an eye on whether the gap holds through the close.

Chamath is calling the June/July software washout the bottom, using Salesforce's raised FY27 guidance of $46.1B to $46.4B as proof the AI-agent fear trade overshot.

As I mentioned previously a month or so ago on @theallinpod, the bottom was in in SaaS in June/July. Their financial results keep delivering and now valuations will snap back in turn.
