About UBS

UBS Group AG is a global financial services firm that absorbed Credit Suisse and is completing that integration by the end of 2026. It operates through four divisions:
- **Global Wealth Management:** Advisory, discretionary mandates (including My Way), US Advisory, alternatives, lending and deposits for wealthy clients across the Americas, Asia Pacific, EMEA and Switzerland.
- **Personal & Corporate Banking:** Retail, corporate and institutional banking in Switzerland, including loans, payments, trade finance, custody, mandates and cards.
- **Asset Management:** Traditional funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts and Unified Global Alternatives.
- **Investment Bank:** Global Banking (advisory and capital markets, including ECM and LCM) and Global Markets (Equities including Prime Brokerage; FX, Rates and Credit).

A Non-core and Legacy unit is winding down remaining Credit Suisse positions. UBS recently obtained a US national bank charter to expand banking capabilities for US wealth clients, with rollout planned for 2027. Updated

Latest Activity

We have already achieved the ambition we set early in the integration journey for 2026 with total capital returns to exceed pre-acquisition levels. Over the next three months, we intend to repurchase 1.2 billion dollars of shares, completing our current program.

Credit Suisse integration costs were supposed to cap shareholder returns through 2026; Ermotti just said capital returns have already cleared pre-acquisition levels, with the current repurchase program finishing this quarter. The next question is what size program replaces it, and whether Swiss capital rules let UBS keep the pace.

September's outcome in the Upper House is very concerning. We have made every effort to engage and contribute constructively to create a basis for a truly democratic process. Our goal has been, and remains, to reach a solution that balances financial stability, taxpayer protection and competitiveness. Unfortunately, the latest proposal on the table also fails to achieve that balance.

Ermotti used the third-quarter earnings call to escalate UBS's standoff with Bern over capital rules, and the bank has already floated moving its headquarters if the proposal sticks. For a $143 billion lender, the fight over how much capital it must hold shapes buybacks, returns and where the business is domiciled.

With a year-to-date return on CET1 capital of 17%, we are increasingly confident in our ability to outperform our 2026 exit-rate return target. And we remain on track to achieve our exit rate cost/income ratio target of less than 70%.

Ermotti is now guiding above UBS's own 2026 return target, with the Credit Suisse integration costs still running through the P&L and Swiss lawmakers pushing for tougher capital rules. The cost/income goal of under 70% is the number to hold him to.

Revenue beat while EPS missed expectations, weighed down by legacy Credit Suisse items, but the Swiss capital proposal, worth roughly $16 billion in additional CET1, is still the bigger swing factor for the stock.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/15/26

  • Diversification pitch: Korean memory selling in SK Hynix and Samsung is bleeding into US data center names
  • Schwab called a buy near $94, under 15x this year's earnings, after AI displacement fears knocked it from $114
  • Chevron preferred over Exxon on a swap; Home Depot held as the most rate-levered name he knows
  • Trim half of Oracle after the run; Microsoft left alone into earnings on Azure strength

Cramer is pulling money toward consumer staples, retailers and oils while the data center complex cracks, and he is framing Schwab's selloff on AI-agent worries as a repeat of the 2023 banking scare that proved a buying opportunity. For anyone concentrated in AI hardware, the Oracle half-sell is the clearest sell discipline he offered all episode.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/12/26

  • Four years from the Oct 12, 2022 bottom: $10,000 in the S&P became $23,061, in Nvidia $197,505
  • Cramer traced the Mag 7's birth to the 2023 banking crisis, when balance sheets beat credit needs
  • Hardware leadership is fading as enterprise software roars back since the summer hedge fund unwind
  • His rule: keep buying through rate scares, tariffs and war headlines

Trading the headlines failed: nothing from the banking crisis to the tariff shock derailed a $40 trillion move. The live call inside Cramer's anniversary scorecard is the rotation, with semis and disk drives losing their shine while software names regain leadership.
