About Waters

Waters Corporation is a life sciences and diagnostics company that provides analytical technologies, informatics, and service for regulated, high-volume testing environments. It has about 15,000 employees and reports four operating divisions:
- **Analytical Sciences Division:** The former Waters Division excluding clinical. It sells liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments and chemistry consumables to pharmaceutical, food, environmental and industrial customers.
- **Biosciences Division:** Formerly BD Biosciences. It provides research and clinical reagents and related biosciences tools.
- **Advanced Diagnostics Division:** Combines the former BD Diagnostic Solutions business, including microbiology, with Waters' Clinical Business Unit. It serves infectious disease detection, routine infection management and antibiotic resistance testing.
- **Materials Sciences Division:** Formerly the TA Division. It provides thermal analysis and materials characterization instruments.

The company earns revenue from both products and recurring service. Its sales are spread across the Americas, Europe and Asia. In February 2026, Waters acquired BD's Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions businesses, roughly doubling its revenue base. In November 2026, it acquired MOBILion Systems, an ion mobility separation technology developer, to expand into proteomics. Updated
