Shanghai Composite Off 2.7%

The Shanghai Composite fell 2.7% on fears that the China economy has slowed and that this will hurt the earnings of countries in the People’s Republic. Metals companies in particular are likely to be hit hard. There is also concern that oil company profits will be damaged as the firms cannot pass the high price of crude on to customers
