August 20, 2014: Among the more than 30 stocks making new 52-week lows today were the following four firms:
Angie’s List Inc. (NASDAQ: ANGI) saw shares fall nearly 3% to a new 52-week low of $7.68 compared with the stock’s 52-week high is $25.18. Volume is about 40% below the daily average of 1.3 million shares traded. The company’s shares were downgrade by several firms in late July following a disappointing earnings report. It appears the carnage is not yet at an end.
Rocket Fuel Inc. (NASDAQ: FUEL) dropped 2.5% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $14.82. Two weeks ago the stock made our list when it’s share price dropped to $17.42. Since then the stock has shaved off another 15%. On August 5th shares closed at $24.75 and down about 42% since that date.
Vapor Corp. (NASDAQ: VPCO) dropped more than 18% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $2.13. Volume is about 6-times greater than the daily average of around 120,000 shares traded on a stock that left the OTC market in late May. The maker of e-cigarettes has had a tough go since early June, with shares dropping about 25% when the company reported results on August 13th. The 52-week high is $10.00.
Xunlei Ltd. (NASDAQ: XNET) dropped more than 12% to hit a new 52-week low of $9.96 today. The Chinese maker of Internet acceleration products is 40%-owned by smartphone maker Xiaomi and is scheduled to report second-quarter earnings tomorrow morning. The share price has tumbled steadily for the past two weeks.
