We’re More Bullish on Amazon Than Wall Street Is. Here’s the Math.

Wall Street has a number on Amazon, and we think it's wrong. AWS is accelerating at its fastest pace in nearly five years, AI demand is outrunning supply, and our model tells a very different story about where this stock…

Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN | AMZN Price Prediction) sits well above where the stock trades today, and above the Wall Street consensus.

With AWS accelerating to its fastest growth in nearly five years and AI infrastructure demand running ahead of supply, we think the market is still underestimating the earnings power building inside this company.

24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary

Metric Value
Current Price $252.40
24/7 Wall St. Price Target $347.37
Upside 38.31%
Recommendation BUY
Confidence Level 90%

Our model carries a high-confidence buy on Amazon with a one-year target of $347.37. That is meaningfully above the current Wall Street consensus target of $328.17, and it reflects a view that AWS operating leverage and AI monetization will outrun the near-term free cash flow headwinds tied to Amazon’s capex build.

An AWS Reacceleration the Market Underestimated

Amazon is up 9.35% year to date. Q2 FY2026 results, reported July 30, 2026, marked the year’s inflection point.

Revenue hit $200.61 billion, up 19.6% year over year, and AWS grew 36.7% to $42.2 billion, the fastest expansion in 18 quarters. AWS backlog sits at $496 billion.

CEO Andy Jassy told investors AWS could become “a trillion dollar annual revenue business for us in time”. Amazon’s recent warrants in generator maker Generac underscore aggressive power capacity lockdown for its data centers.

AMZN price scenario

Bull Case for $396 and Beyond

The bull-case scenario points to $396.78, or roughly 58% upside. AWS AI run rate has crossed $25 billion, custom silicon is another $25 billion annualized business, and multi-gigawatt commitments from OpenAI (2GW starting 2027) and Anthropic (up to 5GW) reserve years of demand.

All that capacity has to be powered, cooled, and networked by somebody, which is why we pulled together seven suppliers behind the AI data-center buildout in a free report.

Advertising grew 26% to $19.8 billion, with management expecting to double capacity by year-end 2027 versus 2025. If forward EPS trends toward $15.04 for 2027, a 25x multiple puts Amazon above $375.

What Could Go Wrong

The bear case implies a floor near $296.08. Risks include trailing 12-month free cash flow at negative $7.6 billion from capex, planned 2026 capex of $200 billion, and long-term debt at $119.1 billion.

Q2 net income of $62.65 billion included a $53.4 billion non-operating gain from Anthropic, flattening underlying trends. Management noted AWS servers break even in a little less than three years and generate significant free cash flow across a five to six year useful life.

How Amazon Compares to Microsoft and Alphabet

Company Forward P/E Latest Quarterly Revenue Growth
Amazon 20 19.6%
Microsoft 25 17.7%
Alphabet 22 24.2%

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) trades at a forward P/E of 25 with quarterly revenue growth of 17.7%. Amazon’s AWS operating margin already hit 39.4%, approaching Microsoft’s 45.1% while growing faster.

Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) trades at a forward P/E of 22 with quarterly revenue growth of 24.2%. Amazon’s implied forward multiple of roughly 20 looks conservative next to both peers, explaining why our 24/7 Wall St. price target lands above consensus.

Amazon Price Prediction 2026-2030

Our research view is constructive at these levels. The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $347.37, a buy rating at 90% confidence, rests on AWS reaccelerating faster than expected and Amazon’s forward multiple sitting a full turn below Microsoft.

Investors should watch whether capex runs meaningfully above the $200 billion plan without a matching backlog step-up, or whether AWS growth slips below 25%.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target
2026 $263
2027 $347
2028 $446
2029 $521
2030 $576
