How Much XRP Would You Need to Become a Millionaire by 2030?

XRP has already proven it can surge 280% in a single month, but turning that momentum into a million-dollar portfolio by 2030 requires hitting price targets that come with a very different kind of math.

At $1.33, an investor would need to buy 751,880 XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) to become an XRP millionaire. At this price, XRP would have a market value of about $84 billion, placing it fifth among cryptocurrencies. Throughout October, XRP’s price has fluctuated between $1.255 and $1.56, and it has experienced a decline of 13.2% over the past month.

Moreover, XRP has dropped about 27.7% in 2026 and is down 42.3% over the last year. It trades 63.6% below its peak price of $3.65, reached on July 17, 2025. Due to that price drop, each dollar now buys more XRP, prompting many holders to wonder how many tokens they would need to hit the $1 million mark.

Each XRP Millionaire Target Needs a Bigger Market Value

To estimate how many XRP tokens would be needed to reach a $1 million portfolio by 2030, we must consider the token’s potential price and the corresponding market value. Market value, or market cap, is calculated by multiplying a token’s price by the total number of tokens in circulation. This metric shows how much money you would need to invest in XRP to reach a specific price target.

The following examples are hypothetical and not a definitive forecast for 2030 prices.

XRP Price XRP Needed for $1 Million Cost at $1.33 Implied Market Value
$1.33 (Oct. 22) 751,880 $1 million $84.0 billion
$3.65 (record) 273,973 $364,384 $230.4 billion
$5 200,000 $266,000 $315.7 billion
$10 100,000 $133,000 $631.3 billion
$20 50,000 $66,500 $1.26 trillion

At its historical high of $3.65, about 174% above its October 22 price, XRP would require a market value of $230.4 billion. XRP has reached this level before, so the market could plausibly reach it again.

However, reaching higher values is a bigger challenge. For instance, at $5, XRP would need a market cap of $315.7 billion, while $10 would require a staggering $631.3 billion. A $20 price target would require an astronomical market value of $1.26 trillion, roughly 15 times its October 22 value.

XRP’s Growing Supply Raises Every Target

The increasing supply of XRP also complicates reaching these targets. Only 63.13 billion tokens are in circulation, out of a maximum supply of 100 billion. The fully diluted valuation—the total value if all tokens were available—stands at around $132.9 billion.

As more XRP enters the market before 2030, reaching specific price points will require larger market caps; thus, the same price target could require more money than the table shows. Additionally, during XRP’s peak in January 2018, far fewer tokens were in circulation, so matching that price would require a higher valuation than before.

Spot XRP ETF Buying Has Cooled Since Late September

Spot XRP ETFs hold XRP directly, meaning every dollar invested buys more tokens. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have amassed $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows as of October 21, according to SoSoValue, and hold assets worth $1.57 billion.

However, the momentum for ETF buying has slowed since late September. The best day for inflows in the past month was September 25, when $22.6 million was added. Unfortunately, since October 9, many days have recorded stagnant or negative inflows, including a $2.5 million outflow on October 16.

The fund’s $1.57 billion in assets represent about 1.9% of XRP’s $84 billion market value. While ETF purchases can support XRP’s price, significant growth is needed to push XRP toward the $5 mark.

XRP Has Rallied Fast Before, but It Needs Bitcoin

XRP has rallied quickly in the past. For example, in November 2024, XRP surged from $0.51 to $1.94, a remarkable 280% gain in one month that ultimately set the stage for the record high in July 2025. Since the end of July, XRP has increased by 25.1% over the 90 days leading up to today.

However, with XRP still trading at 63.6% below its all-time high, the market appears far from entering a bullish cycle. For XRP to repeat its late-2024 rally, Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) and the broader cryptocurrency market likely need to rise together.

Which XRP Millionaire Target Could XRP Reach by 2030?

In our assessment, $3.65 appears achievable by 2030, while $5 may be a stretch and $10 and $20 seem unlikely. The record requires the smallest increase in market value, and XRP has hit it before. However, XRP would first need consistent positive ETF inflows like those from late September. It will also need to surpass its August high of $1.70 and its January high of $2.42 before $3.65 and then $5 come into view.

It’s a balancing act; the cheapest path to $1 million requires the least likely price point. At $20, an investor would need only 50,000 tokens, costing $66,500 at $1.33, but XRP would need a $1.26 trillion market cap. Reaching $3.65 would require 273,973 XRP, costing $364,384, but this scenario seems much more plausible. If XRP doesn’t close above $2.42 by December 2027, even $3.65 could slip out of reach by 2030.
