Ripple’s XRP Is 65% Below Its Record High. Where Could It Be in 10 Years?
XRP has shed nearly half its value in a year while Bitcoin and Ethereum held up better, yet some analysts still see a path to triple-digit gains from here. Three scenarios reveal just how much needs to go right for…

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) is trading 64.7% below its record high of $3.65 set in July 2025, leaving many investors wondering where the price could be in the next 10 years. XRP is currently priced at around $1.29, down 15.5% over the past month. In October, the price fluctuated between $1.25 and $1.56.
Over the past year, the outlook is less optimistic. XRP has lost 48.8% of its value, a larger drop than Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), down 27.4%, and Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), down 39.7%. However, XRP has shown some resilience, gaining 15.6% over the last 90 days.
To understand where XRP could be in 2036, we’ve considered three possible price points: $0.50, $3, and $10. These scenarios account for factors like payment volume, tokenization on the XRP Ledger, demand for ETFs, and token supply. Tokenization turns traditional assets like bonds or funds into blockchain-based tokens.
What XRP Could Be Worth at $0.50, $3 and $10

The market value of a cryptocurrency equals its price multiplied by the total number of tokens in circulation. XRP’s market value is about $81.6 billion, compared to Ethereum’s $286.4 billion and Bitcoin’s $1.62 trillion.
| Scenario | XRP Price | Value of 1,000 XRP | Implied Market Value | Change Needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | $1.29 | $1,290 | $81.6 billion | |
| Bear | $0.50 | $500 | $31.6 billion | -61.2% |
| Base | $3 | $3,000 | $189.8 billion | +132.6% |
| Bull | $10 | $10,000 | $632.5 billion | +675.2% |
At its record high, 1,000 XRP was worth $3,650. The base case of $3 implies a market value of $189.8 billion, significantly above XRP’s current value but still below Ethereum’s. In the bullish scenario at $10, the market value would reach $632.5 billion, surpassing Ethereum’s value yet still falling short of Bitcoin’s.
Supply dynamics complicate these price projections. Ripple holds a significant portion of XRP in escrow—a locked account releasing tokens periodically. Each release adds to the circulating supply, meaning that achieving $3 in 2036 would require a higher market value than $3 does now. Previously, XRP traded above $3 in January 2018 when fewer tokens were in circulation, suggesting that hitting that price again may require substantial new investments.
Spot XRP ETF Demand Has Faded Since September

Spot XRP ETFs hold XRP directly, which can create buying pressure as investors buy new shares. As of October 23, cumulative net inflows into these funds reached $1.80 billion. However, demand was weak in the latest week. On October 21, the funds took in $0.7 million, and on October 22, $3.5 million, but they recorded no net inflow on the remaining days.
In contrast, their best day in the last month witnessed inflows of $22.6 million on September 25. XRP’s price has closely tracked these inflows. It began September at $1.38 and ended at $1.49, an 8.0% gain that aligned with higher-inflow days. In October, as inflows dwindled, the price followed suit.
XRP Needs Broader Market Support and Payment Growth

Past performance suggests broad market rallies are key to XRP’s price rise. For instance, in November 2024, XRP started at $0.51 and finished at $1.94—a staggering 279% increase—before hitting $3.40 in January 2025. However, XRP is lagging behind Bitcoin, which trades around $80,500 and has risen 23.4% over the past 90 days, compared to XRP’s 15.6% increase.
Looking ahead, payment growth is a critical factor for XRP’s potential value. Our remittance analysis assessed what XRP could be worth if it captures a significant share of cross-border transactions.
Where Could XRP Be in 10 Years?
We believe the $3 price target is the most realistic for XRP by 2036, transforming 1,000 XRP from $1,290 to $3,000. The $10 scenario seems unlikely given current trends. If cumulative ETF inflows stall around $1.8 billion while escrow releases new tokens, a $0.50 bear case could become more probable, particularly if XRP closes the month below $0.99, which would signal further declines.
For XRP to reach the $3 base case, it must first hold above $0.99, then reclaim a price above $1.53, its price from September 24. Additionally, ETF inflows need to return to September levels, specifically the $22.6 million inflows.
Finally, payment processing and tokenization on the XRP Ledger must grow quickly enough to handle additional tokens from escrow releases. Until XRP surpasses its record of $3.65, discussions about reaching $10 seem premature.
