An XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) price prediction of $210 has drawn attention, though it has faced significant criticism as XRP continues to struggle despite Ripple’s recent announcements. The origin of this ambitious target remains unclear.

As of October 21, 2026, XRP is trading at $1.36, up 4.7% in the last 24 hours. However, this small rise does little to counter the overall decline. Over the past month, XRP has fallen by 12.9%, 27.3% year-to-date, and 44.8% over the past year. In October alone, it has fluctuated between $1.25 and $1.56.

So, what market value would XRP need to reach $210, and what could drive the token higher?

Market Value Needed for XRP to Reach $210

Market value, or market cap, is calculated by multiplying a token’s price by the total number of tokens in circulation. Currently, XRP has a market value of about $85.6 billion, based on about 63.13 billion tokens in circulation, ranking it fifth among all cryptocurrencies.

If XRP reached $210, its market cap would skyrocket to about $13.26 trillion. That’s a staggering increase of about 15,341% from its current price. For context, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has a market value of $1.68 trillion. If XRP hit $210, it would be valued at roughly 7.9 times Bitcoin and about 2.7 times Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL | AAPL Price Prediction), which is valued at around $4.95 trillion.

Historically, XRP has never traded close to this level. Its all-time high is $3.65, reached on July 17, 2025, and it is currently trading 62.8% below that peak. At that record price, the market value for the current supply would be about $230.4 billion.

Furthermore, the situation becomes more complex as supply increases. XRP has a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, with most already in circulation. Ripple holds a significant portion of these tokens in escrow, released on a set schedule. As those tokens enter circulation, a $210 price would imply a still larger market value than $13.26 trillion.

XRP ETF Inflows Add Millions When $210 Needs Trillions

A spot XRP ETF directly holds the cryptocurrency, so as new investments flow into the fund, it buys XRP. As of October 20, U.S. spot XRP ETFs have seen about $1.8 billion in total net inflows, managing around $1.5 billion in net assets.

However, investor interest seems to be waning. Recently, the funds saw zero net inflows on October 19 and October 20, after an outflow of about $2.5 million on October 16. The largest recent daily inflow occurred on September 25, bringing in $22.6 million. While these inflows add millions daily, reaching $210 would require trillions in new investment.

Ripple News and Payment Volume Have Not Lifted XRP

Ripple’s partnerships and announcements often signal adoption, yet recent news hasn’t translated into price gains for XRP. Despite five Ripple announcements, the price has continued to drop, fueling skepticism about the $210 prediction.

Many arguments for reaching $210 are based on the premise that banks would process massive sums through the XRP Ledger. However, the relationship between price and payment volume is not straightforward. Settlement tokens can be bought and sold in seconds.

This means a bank involved in a large transaction may hold XRP only briefly. This quick turnover suggests that substantial payment flows don’t require holding much XRP, keeping the market value supported by these flows below expected thresholds.

Can XRP Hit $210, and What Is a More Realistic XRP Price Prediction?

The likelihood of XRP reaching $210 anytime soon is slim, as that price would put XRP’s value at around 7.9 times Bitcoin’s. A more realistic recovery path would see XRP first climb back to $1.84, its price at the start of 2026, then to $2.42, where it stood a year earlier, and eventually to its record high of $3.65, equating to about $230.4 billion at the current supply.

For XRP to hit $10, its market value would need to reach $631.3 billion. Matching Bitcoin’s $1.68 trillion would require a price of about $26.61 before escrow releases. Sustaining daily inflows similar to the $22.6 million seen on September 25 for several months would likely be necessary to approach the $3.65 record. If inflows stagnate and XRP falls below its October low of $1.25, it could decline further before any rebound begins.
