Internet research firm comScore Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) today released its rankings of the top web properties for the month of May. The top 5 of the 50 sites ranked by unique visitors is pretty much the same as it ever was:

  1. Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) sites – 189 million unique visitors
  2. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) site – 167 million unique visitors
  3. Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) sites – 164 million unique visitors
  4. Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) sites – 158 million unique visitors
  5. Aol, Inc. (NYSE: AOL) sites – 110 million unique visitors

The top retail sites are Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) ranks 6th with 99 million unique visitors and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT) ranks 24th with 42 million unique visitors. Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT) which used to be among the top 50 sites, has dropped off.
