Big US Companies Paying Workers Less than $10 an Hour

Methodology

To find the 20 companies that pay workers less than $10 an hour, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed wage data from the Company Wage Tracker, a collaboration between the nonprofit economic think tank Economic Policy Institute and The Shift Project, an hourly service workers data project created by University of California professors. We listed the 20 companies that pay at least 10% of employees less than $10 an hour.

The Company Wage Tracker data is based on over 20,000 surveys of American workers conducted between March and November 2021. The survey published data of the 66 corporations with the most responses.

All other data – including U.S. employee count,  CEO pay for the most recent available year, and revenue estimates for either 2019, 2020, or 2021 – also came from the Company Wage Tracker.
