Londian Wason New Energy Tech Inc. is the world's largest maker of lithium battery copper foil, a component sitting at the heart of the electric vehicle and energy storage supply chain. Its NYSE debut priced at $22 a share.

The opening trade at $26 meant that investors who bought at the IPO price were immediately sitting on a gain before the broader market had a chance to weigh in. That gap between deal price and first trade is one of the clearest early signals of demand for a newly public company.

Cantor led a seven-bank syndicate on the deal, a sizable underwriting group that reflects the logistical weight behind bringing a company of this scale to a U.S. exchange. A broad syndicate also typically indicates the banks expected meaningful institutional distribution across multiple investor bases.

The copper foil that Londian Wason produces is a critical material in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, used as the current collector on the anode side of the cell. As battery production scales globally to meet EV and grid storage demand, the suppliers of precision materials like copper foil occupy an increasingly consequential position in that supply chain.
