American States Water Company (NYSE: AWR) is a public utility holding company serving over one million people across ten U.S. states through three operating subsidiaries. Golden State Water Company, its regulated water utility, provides water service to approximately 265,200 customer connections in more than 80 communities across Northern, Coastal, and Southern California, with rates set by the California Public Utilities Commission. Bear Valley Electric Service distributes electricity to approximately 24,900 customer connections in the Big Bear Lake area of San Bernardino County, California. American States Utility Services provides operations, maintenance, and construction management services for water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities on twelve military bases under 50-year privatization contracts with the U.S. government across eight states, plus one additional military base under a 15-year contract.
