About Ford

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) designs, manufactures and sells Ford trucks, SUVs, commercial vans and cars, along with Lincoln luxury vehicles. It also offers connected services such as the BlueCruise driver-assistance system and security services.

The company operates through three customer-centered automotive segments plus a captive finance arm:
- **Ford Blue:** gas-powered and hybrid vehicles, including the F-150 pickup.
- **Ford Model e:** electric vehicles and embedded software. It is developing affordable, scalable EVs on the new Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform and ramping its Ford Energy business.
- **Ford Pro:** commercial vehicles such as Super Duty trucks and Transit-type vans, with services for fleet and business customers. Software services and parts are a growing contributor.
- **Ford Motor Credit Company:** retail, lease and dealer financing.

Under its Ford+ plan, the company is pursuing cost reductions in warranty and materials, capital efficiency and strategic partnerships. It targets an 8% adjusted EBIT margin by 2029.

Ford wholesales about 1 million vehicles per quarter globally, including vehicles sold through unconsolidated affiliates such as JMC in China. It employs about 170,000 people. Updated

A 5.09% jump to $12.38 the day after the Q3 earnings filing is an outsized session for a $48.6 billion automaker that rarely moves in single-day leaps like this. Keep an eye on whether the gain holds into the close.

Ford topped expectations on both lines and lifted the floor of its full-year adjusted EBIT guidance to $10.5 billion. The catch: management still guides Model e to roughly $4 billion in losses this year.

Stuck in a 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning lease with $27K negative equity. Currently unemployed. What are my options?

There is no getting out of this lightly or easily. First off, when can you become employed again? If you need a car, then simply turning this in and getting a cheaper is not an option with the negative equity.

A $975 monthly EV lease with no home charging turned into a trap: dealer bids on the truck range from the $20,000s to $40,000 against Ford Credit's $61,872 buyout. The thread's verdict is that early lease exits almost always cost more than riding out the term.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/7/26

  • Cramer splits the market in two: credit-dependent names like Caterpillar, Ford and IBM versus AI borrowers that price near Treasuries
  • SpaceX seeking $40 billion to buy Nvidia chips at triple-B rating, while Paramount Skydance bondholders got hit at 8%
  • Oracle flagged as the one data-center name still exposed to credit market scrutiny
  • Caller advice: swap Western Digital into cheaper Micron; Vertiv the pick after GE Vernova on data center infrastructure

AI and data-center names no longer trade off Treasury auctions, so a weak auction hits the industrial and consumer side of your book while chip and power names sail through, with Oracle the named exception. On the calls, he pushed Micron over Western Digital and ranked Vertiv right behind GE Vernova on infrastructure.
