A Vertical Move That Left the Model Behind
Micron is up 227.09% year to date and 702.68% over the past year. Shares are flat over the last month at +1.31%, consolidating below the $1,254.81 52-week high.
Fiscal Q3 2026 was the catalyst. Revenue hit $41.46 billion, up 345.72% year over year, on non-GAAP EPS of $25.11 against a $20.2843 estimate. GAAP gross margin expanded to 84.6%.
Management guided Q4 revenue to $50 billion plus or minus $1 billion and EPS to $31. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra disclosed 16 Strategic Customer Agreements carrying roughly $100 billion in minimum-price RPO.
Why Bulls See a Path to $1,333
The bull case is straightforward. HBM4 has generated over $1 billion in revenue and its ramp is tracking twice as fast as HBM3E 12 high. What Could Go Wrong
Memory is famously cyclical. Micron carried $7.826 billion in Q3 capex and Q4 capex is guided to roughly $10 billion, with fiscal 2027 running higher. A single hyperscaler pulling HBM4 orders would hit results hard given disclosed lead-customer concentration.
The bear scenario lands at $702.60, a 24.69% drawdown. Bulls counter that take-or-pay Strategic Customer Agreements covering roughly half of forward revenue reduce cyclicality relative to prior cycles.
How Micron Stacks Up Against NVIDIA and Western Digital
NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) is Micron’s most important customer and the direct pull for HBM4. NVIDIA posted $81.6 billion in Q1 FY27 revenue at a 43 trailing P/E, versus Micron at 22. Every dollar NVIDIA sells in Blackwell drags Micron content with it, making the multiple gap look aggressive against Micron and supportive of our target.
Western Digital (NASDAQ:WDC) is the storage counterpart: an HDD pure-play riding the same AI data-creation curve, with Q4 FY26 revenue up $47 year over year and non-GAAP EPS of $48. WDC’s growth is real, but Micron’s HBM-fueled 345.72% revenue expansion and 84.6% gross margin make our $959.72 target look conservative on operating quality.
Micron Price Prediction 2026 to 2030
Our 24/7 Wall St. price target of $959.72, a hold with 90% confidence, reflects a stock that has already priced in a great year. A pullback into the $700s would make the forward earnings math more compelling against $64.92 in forward EPS.
Above $1,100, the risk/reward tightens until HBM4E volumes and pricing hold into calendar 2027. Micron is arguably the second most important AI stock behind NVIDIA. It is also up 700% in a year. Both things are true.
