Grab’s Make-or-Break Earnings: 3 Under-the-Radar Triggers That Could Ignite GRAB Stock
Grab's fundamentals have improved quarter after quarter, yet the stock keeps falling. Three specific catalysts buried inside Thursday's earnings report will reveal whether that disconnect is finally about to close.
Grab (NASDAQ:GRAB | GRAB Price Prediction) reports third-quarter results on November 2 after the market closes. Shares trade near $2.73, down 45.28% year-to-date. This report has to show that record profits can finally move the stock.
Record Profits Meet a Sliding Stock Price
Last quarter, Grab posted revenue of $997M (+21.7% YoY) and EPS of $0.06, beating the $0.0138 estimate. Adjusted EBITDA rose 54% to $168 million, with margin expanding to 16.9% from 13.3%. A $307M one-time Superbank revaluation gain inflated net income.
Full-year guidance was raised, folding in Superbank, Stash, and 2% to 3% currency drag. Since then, Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission blocked the $600 million foodpanda Taiwan deal, and the stock fell 12.76% over the past month. Fuel costs remain a drag, with On-Demand incentives rising to 10.9% of GMV in Q2.
Wall Street Expects Another Step Up
| Metric | Consensus | Prior-Year Actual | Implied Growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q3 2026 EPS | $0.02 | $0.01 | 100% |
| Q3 2026 Revenue | $1.108B | $873M | 26.9% |
| FY 2026 EPS | $0.135 | $0.06 | 125% |
| FY 2026 Revenue | $4.19B | $3.37B | 24.4% |
Three Overlooked Triggers Behind the Headline Numbers
1. Financial Services breakeven. Management said in August, “We are on track to achieve profitability for Financial Services in the second half of 2026.” Segment revenue jumped 59% to $134M, and the loan book should top $3 billion by the end of this year. Credit quality bears close watching, since net impairment losses rose 81% to $120M in the first half.
2. Stash’s first consolidated quarter. The deal closed July 1, 2026, bringing an already profitable wealth platform with over $5 billion in AUM and more than 1 million active subscribers. It’s worth tracking how much it adds to segment revenue and EBITDA.
3. Buyback rate. Grab authorized a new $750 million repurchase program and committed to buy where it sees a dislocation in the share price. With shares at $2.73 versus $3.822 on Q2 results day, execution will test that promise.
Beyond those three, I want updates on Indonesia, where regulators cut two-wheeler commission caps to 8%. That business accounts for 6% of total mobility GMV. Management also guided second-half mobility margins to 8.5% to 9% and called AI “a margin lever.”
Profits Need to Start Showing Up in the Stock
Grab has improved its fundamentals while the stock has fallen behind. After the Q2 beat, shares still slid 8.06% over the next 30 days. A clear Financial Services breakeven, a clean first Stash contribution, and regular buybacks would show that management’s push from scale to profitability is working. Keep an eye on the stock after November 2.
